My mom sent me a great package of goodies for my birthday. She is absolutely the best i know at putting gift packages together, and this one is no exception. The perfect balance of hilarity and awesomeness. Here’s the inventory:
1. Hover-soccerball-puck - floats along the floor like an air-hockey puck. Batteries pre-installed, obviously from a rummage sale or something. Not only does this remind me of one of my favorite toys as a kid (same thing but actually for hockey) but it has already turned into a fun office game. BONUS: the tag on the side says “indoor football!” reference to my first BustedTee!
2.Graphite Sculpture of a Quill. Awesome. Handmade, from what i can gather, includes a signed/dated card from the artist.
3. “Fender Bender,” metal dog type thing with bendable limbs, magnetic feet, AND A “MAGNETIC PERSONALITY.” Pretty strange, Accompanied by an overtly overdone booklet “The adventures of Fender Bender,” essentially a gallery of Fender’s different personas. For example, “Alpine Rescue Fender” which depicts the wire sculpture surrounded by snow-like sugar, or “Porcupine Fender” where Fender has staples stuck to his magnetic foot. Priceless.
4. I told her I’m building a bike, so parts are a good gift. Mom’s solution? An airplane you can mount to your handlebars and the propeller will spin as you ride! Definitely going on the ew ride.
5. A small wind-up crab! roll it one way, it scuttles the other! Video coming soon…
6. Sleep-snug. Keeps your sheets in place! Who couldn’t use a set of these!!!
And of course, 7, enough hershey’s kisses to last a lifetime.
I’ve got a keeper:)
